Parents have just taken delivery of a 07 plate Mondeo with bluetooth and voice control. Very cool but we never got a manual for it, the selling garage didn't know it was on it, Ford helpline said "oh that's snazzy I wish I had that!", the Ford dealer says "go back to where you bought it from...", who then said it's in the CD manual. It's not ;)

I can guess commands, you press it, say radio, FM, 96.2 and it does Trent FM, cool. I can say PHONE, DIAL, 931392103201 and it dials that number perfectly. But I can't guess other commands or know how to do better things - if it can do anything better.

Anybody know where there's a manual online? I can't find one but thought it was worth a try, next stop Mondeo forums *spits* ;)

Help was my next try, I did pretty well by tapping the button trying to play with the radio and then she started talking to me so I talked back. In Ford's defence, the "ooooh that's snazzy!" woman put my Dad onto somebody else who knew about it and got him in touch with the dealer.

Yes, or order it through their parts dept. - anyway, all sorted now, car will be home again in an hour to play with all the voice commands.

That's where I found the link from, thanks. I didn't originally find it but it worked the second time, no idea why. I think I must have been searching for the wrong word.

Not as much now but recently the new Mondeo was on the front of most if not every car mag kicking ass!

Post up pics and reviews Paulie!

It's the very last of the "old model" - '07 2.0 tdci Titanium-X (which means erm, climate control, heated and cooled seats, mp3 headunit (with aux input), advanced bluetooth, voice control, half leather alancantara seats, 18" shadow chrome alloys, electric folding mirrors, ESP, cruise control, lights under the mirrors, no bump strips, etc. etc.). Massive bargains on them just now I suppose because of the new model and my parents want it to tow their new caravan; it is one of the best tow cars out. They refused to go for the 2.2 tdci 155 :(

Hate the Mondeo and how boring it is but it is one hell of a good car IMO. Not so much the Focus they gave to us whilst we waiting, how in the world is that the segment leader.

I know that that can be argued (although not exactly a fact...!) but it's not a nice car to be inside which is where I spend most of my time. It was "only" a titanium though, maybe I would have preferred the Titanium-X.

I didnt say it was the best car ergonomically, it is the best car handling wise when you open it up, not pootling round town at 30mph

Yet the Megane Sport kicks the ST's ass on the track, hence why it could be argued as the Megane Sport is not that different to the normal Megane.

Now do you know how to get a digital clock on the dash? You said you could when I talked about th ST before but I don't think you can on the titanium-X at least unless I am missing something?

A sport version of any car is going to be set up completely different than a lower spec model, there would be no point then in having a 'sport' franchise selling point or sector on any vehicle if the lower spec models were set up the same.

As for the clock i think its in the trip computer. If you mean a digital clock in the place of where the anolgue clock is then i dont think there is anything, check ebay etc unless you want to make yourself something which is what a few mk2 owners have done, consult the mk3 discussion board on the mondeo forum if you are still unsure

I meant on the dash - I don't think there is one in the trip computer, it's not mentioned in the book (which includes all models) - a tad annoying as the analogue clock is a mess. I thought there was because I criticised it before on here and I think you said there was one on the trip computer but I certainly haven't found one. I still like the car.

They mustve tweaked it slightly/ got rid on the later MK3 as my dads old car - a '52' plate mk3 estate had it using the trip computer.

As said before think you should consult the mondeo board for further info

I might, just means signing up for something else although I have no inherited my dad's visorblade for telling him about the voice control so it has been worth it ;)
