Hi Fiat Luvvers ... my 500 sport 11 plate has just been in for some work... since I have had it back the mileage has been flashing and I think this is down the the proxy needing a reset? Does anyone have any ideas as to how much it would cost to have this done ... the bluetooth has disappeared too...

It is a very common failure of the 'blue and me' Bluetooth module.
Your options:
1. Do nothing and have the mileage blinking. This could lead to a battery drain eventually.
2. Remove the module and repair it (not difficult but you have to take of a few panels inside the car to get to it then drill out the rivets holding it in place)
3. Disconnect the module and buy a cheapo Amazon Bluetooth receiver as a replacement.
4. Run a proxi alignment using Multi ECUscan to correct the flashing mileage

There are a ton of threads about this exact issue and videos on YouTube of how to access the Blue and Me module.

If you need help, I have done this on my 500 and am happy to answer questions.

Hi Blue Monkey, I have been posting on the forum for a week ref his issue with my Fiat 500 - I had flashing mileage then I left my car parked without using for four days and the battery was flat. No lights, no radio, nothing. Got new battery installed and the flashing remains - the thing is though, I never use B&M! So would the B&M module develop a fault even if it is never used? Apart from taking action having my battery replaced, I am having an auto electrician disconnect the B&M module (and this is assuming this is the cause) - but as said, i don't use B&M in my car! I've had some great support from varesecrazy and panda nut...But, just wondering if you think that the flashing mileage could still be the B&M module despite me never using it?

It's called a parasitic drain and a common symptom of a failed blue and me module. New battery will not prevent this I'm afraid.

Disconnecting the module is not that difficult just a bit time consuming. You need to remove the rear seat, undo the rear seat belt on the passenger side, remove from front seat belt, unclip a couple of interior panels and then you will have access to the module. Disconnecting it is quite easy, you just have a connector with a lever that locks it in place.

Your other option is to buy the Multiscan ECU software and a cable from eBay and run a proxi alignment yourself, that's what I ended up doing. Multiscan will read any error codes stored in the body computer (like blue and me failure). It will also read all the other ECUs in the car. I'm guessing a FIAT specialist would be your best option if you don't want to do this yourself.

Sounds like it is the Bluetooth module has gone on the blink...Paul@ love500 is the man to fix that, just send him the module.
Hi I did indeed liaise with love 500 he told me to first try removing the earth from the battery for 10 minutes and then put it back… I did and this solved everything … it resets the proxy … cost me nothing so I was so happy

I had my B&M module disconnected due to fault that was draining my battery - I also had my battery replaced first but this made no difference - so the only option was for me to disconnect module - wish I had of tried the removing earth from battery for 10 minutes to see if this made a difference but my battery was flat....but great that you solved yours at no cost - my new battery and disconnecting of module was costly - and the miles still flash so would need a proxy alignment I believe to stop this!
