I have had a dash cam from Santa.
What/Where do you hide all the meters of cable so it doesn’t strangle my passengers?

The guide recommends in the lining of the dash 🤷🏻‍♀️ and around the windscreen demonstrating a drawing with the cigarette adapter going into the dash, whereas my 500 has it by the gearstick between the seats.

I’ve done a search but maybe someone else can help find advice already given on the forum.
It’s a NextBase.
I don’t want to start using Duc tape….

Proper way to do it is to use "piggy-back" mini fuse holders in to the feeds on the bcm module but its a real P.I.T.A cause the bcm is buried so inaccessible without a fair bit of dismantling and even then access aint good!.
It might actually be better to do it from the engine compartment fuse box and bring the wires back through the bulkhead and up behind the "A" pillar trim and along the top of the windscreen!
Dont attempt it unless you are electrically savvy! as its easy to screw it and other things up if you dont know what your doing! if in doubt get it done professionally!.
Or you can buy little self-adhesive clips to hold the wire neater if you decide to stick with the fag lighter connection wont be perfect or invisible but might be bearable depends on what you want and if you can do it or pay for it!.

Thank you.
I’ve spoken with my son and he suggested I spoke to my garage in the new year about tidying the wiring up.

Duc tape is a wonder invention meanwhile…

You can do it yourself, it's not difficult but it depends on where you want to mount the camera. I have three dashcams in the Twinnie; two on the front windscreen (one looking forward and one aft) and one in the rear window. The front ones are mounted at the top of the screen and the cables run under the leading edge of the headliner to the corner of the windscreen where they are briefly visible as they duck behind the 'A' pillar trim, then they run down behind the door sealing welt, under the glovebox shelf and into the centre console. Excess length is gathered under the glovebox shelf and gaffer-taped to it.

Poor quality photos, sorry. You can just see the cables at the top of the A pillar trim in the centre shot.
The three cameras, the HUD and phone charger cable all come out of the three-way switched socket - a little untidy but it works for me. 🙃
