Hi All,

I really feel quite stupid asking you guys this, but which way around do i have to turn the alun key in the sump to release the plug? I got myself an alun key 12mm but can't get the darn thing loose. i feel like an idiot :bang:

Attached a picture with Option A and Option B. Remember that the image is a Top View and the Screw is on the bottom, so think upside down and then imagine how it would look like if you could see through the top of the engine. :p

ps, i read a lot on oil changing throughout this forum and everyone keeps advising 10w40. however in my cars door it says racing 10w60, so i bought myself a couple of liters of this. can this cause any harm or can someone explain to me what the number before the w and after the w means?

Thanks Everyone in advance

Use a bar on the end of the allen key to make undoing it easier, use just the key to tighten.

I use magnatech in my car (butwhen I get round to joining Club Cento I'll switch to a full synthetic which they do a great deal on!). But it's probably a good idea to keep the same oil in the car. Can't remember what the w means, but 10w60 specifies the viscosity range of the oil.

Thanks a million. I thought I'd ask to be certain. I didn't want to accidentaly keep tightening the plug and cause serious damage.
