General Fiat Recall 22 van

Took my 22 plate Ducato in for an MOT and was advised that there was a critical recall on it for the timing chain and water pump. They said that if we drove it away to await the parts it would be at our liability if the engine went BANG. Came as news to us as we had not received any notice of it and we assume that the conversion company who supplied it to us also did not know. Well it has now been nearly a month since it went in and still awaiting parts and special tools needed from Italy. No date for its return yet but I do find it surprising that Fiat when issuing recalls that need specific parts and tools do not have packs made up as they should know how may vans are involved.
Good job it is a campervan rather than a work tool.

Sorry for your troubles.
Would be obliged if you post up the Fiat recall reference and details of your van: engine series, hp and gearbox.
Did you service within the 2 year at Fiat Professional?

Checked the UK DVLA site.
No recall on my van. There was an October '22 for the speed limiter.
Wires crossed ?

Yes L Had it service by Fiat in March 24 no mention then of a recall and none found one on DVLA.. It is a140 manual professional 2200cc with an engine No of 9293765. Hope to get it back next week fingers crossed.

Sounds like specific engine recall rather than a general. Hopefully back soon.
