Tuning Fiat punto hgt

Hello guys,
I bought a fiat punto hgt 2002 a couple of months ago...
Drives perfectly and it handles good too.
But its still short on power, I asked around if there is a way to gain more hp.
Only 1 mechanic told me he will increase my hp up to 35 to 40hp by placing bigger pistons and changing the camshafts to alfa cams 20V.
But I'm in fear the my engine will not withstand that transformation.
Im all ears if someone can help me out I would truly appreciate it

I dont think its that easy.What about the ECU?
Is your variator in good condition ?

Aye, how fast can I make my car go... Realistically without spending shed loads, you have two choices, live map or there used to be a chip from FC performance, but I cant remember if it was the mk1 or the mk2. You wont have loads more power but you will feel the difference.

Ah! mk2 I don't think you can remap these.

did they crack hitachi?

Since the hitachi appears to be a problemen, maybe it is possible to disconnect its injector connections, feed the lambda sensor connection with a constant voltage, and run a Megasquirt parallel?

I think they did not. A stand alone system was mentioned though.
