Technical Fiat idea 1.4 throttle problem

got problem with mil light comeing on and going in safe mode, comes up as fault with tp switch/sensor and pedal track 2 signal, replaced tp switch and problem still present checked wiring loom any idea's

Hi Dave, your car has a throttle learn facility which is used to learn the correct positioning of the throttle butterfly. For this you have to switch on and leave the accelerator for a minute and then start up. I have had a few ecus which have repeatedly lost this setting, 1 ecu had to be replaced for this problem as it became so regular. I take it you have a fault code reader which you have tried to get a code from the ecu?

I suggest a trip to Fiat dealer, there was a issue with throttle learns unable to be carried out & a ECU was required to cure the fault.
