Hello guys ..I've a friend with a 14 ducato that loosened a cam bolt in at the cam chain ..neway engine gone no shame there is 256k on it ...my brother had an engine with 6k on it ...it bent valves all was replaced barn the 2 cams apparently they move the lobes..neway he brought me the engine i stripped old engine out of the ducato took box off etc ...the new engine was completely bare engine ..I want a good labour quote for rebuilding the complete engine injector pump 2 new camshafts ..injectors all off the old engine and on to the new 1 flywheel ...new clutch new water pump timing belt kit ...what would a decent labour charge cost ..I done all.myself she's up and running very nice ..serviced also ..just looking g a labour cost if some of yous guys have done the same or similar...thanks in advance

I am about to rebuild a 2014 Ducato 3.0 180. My hardest part is getting parts for the engine rebuild in Australia. I am finding it hard to get parts shipped from the UK at the moment even though I have previously purchased many parts over the years with good shipping times.
Back to your question an engine rebuild here starts at $12,000aud using all the bolt ons from "your" engine. I have seen final invoices & they are closer to $18,000 after they say some of "your" parts need replacing.
Labour costs are from $8000 to $10,000. Also warranty is very limited. If you go for a used engine then there is no warranty and you are still throwing $12000+ into the hat but you are back on the road more quickly.
