General Fiat Ducato 2.5 turbo engine substitute

Hi everyone this is my first post im new to the forum.

I found this forum due to searching online for information regarding any substitute engines that would fit into my 1996 Fiat Ducato motorhome.

After many happy adventures in the motorhome sadly the engine has packed up , i have tried finding a replacement Fiat Ducatio 2.5 turbo engine to go straight into the van but have at this time had no success

which brings me to my main question, Has any other members had any luck with substitute engines or other alternatives??

any help would be gratefully received

What has failed on your original engine? A 2.8 idtd engine should fit don't go for the 2.8 non turbo as the gear ratios are unique to it and you'll never get a replacement if you ever need one.
