General Fiat ducato 1.9td DHX engine 2002

Hi, I'm a new member of this forum and looking for any help to my search.
We have just be told our engine on our Fiat ducato dhx 1.9td 2002 motorhome has had it's last days (water in engine and gearbox, broken con rods in engine plus other damage)
The motorhome was brought to make some memories as I have terminal prostrate cancer.
I have been trying to source a replacement secondhand engine but they like rocking horse sh*t.
Does anyone know where there maybe one for sell, I have tried the usual sites ebay, breakers etc? Many thanks.

The DHX engine is a Peugeot Citroen lump based on the earlier XUD engine so maybe an old one of those in a van may be a solution, especially if you say gearbox shot as well.
If you check on Wikipedia they may list the vehicles it was fitted in.
