Hello,
Ive replaced my injector nozzle and fire protection washer, now it keeps leaking at the nozzleholder where you screw it into the engine itself. I’ve screwed it untill 55Nm.
Anyone any tips?
I have taken several injectors apart including some common rail ones.
The only thing I can assume is you dislodged something or replaced a part in the wrong position, in which case you may have damaged it when re tightening it.
Strictly speaking it is a specialist operation and should be pressure tested and calibrated using suitable equipment, but if kept spotlessly clean, I used an ultrasonic cleaner and carefully reassembled to original makers diagram they usually work.

Common rail ones are much harder, the first one I worked on, I had to remove the cap to fit a special extractor due to it being stuck in the head, in doing so I dislodged a tiny ceramic ball valve resulting in the injector not holding pressure and car not starting.
Since then I have stripped and rebuild several and pressure tested with an old "pop off" tool to build the pressure and then triggering carefully using a 24 volt power source, all ran fine and met MOT test requirements etc. and were running several years later.
Now retired so not something I get involved in, also later piezo type electronic ones are even more special, so more expensive equipment needed to test etc.
