General FIAT Bravo Performance Increase

I've had a look at the earth straps for the bravo and to be honest, i havent got a clue!! where abouts roughly should they be bolted onto? i dont even know what the one from the gearbox looks like as there seems to be a couple of wires coming off of it.

please help :( i feel like a damsel in distress haha!

could be a vacuum leak. Check airpipe going from airfilter to throttle body for any slits or holes
But that pipe is solid plastic?? could it have a split in it or would it all just crack?? I am starting to believe jugs theory on the dodgy earth straps because it seems to cut out when i go over certain bumps in the road. But then again it really doesnt like havin the lights on at all! ohhhhhhhh :bang:

check everything carefully from the airfilter to the throttlebody. there are a few rubber hoses that could be cracked. the big hose isnt solid plastic, its rubber, but it is the small hoses attached to it that usually perish. also check the small rubber hoses attached to the back of the inlet manifold.

you can try fitting a scrapyard idle speed controller. the attached page from the manual should help.

Does that explain why it doesnt like having the lights on though? argh cars are so confusing! lol would it be worth sticking it in a garage and paying the earth to get it sorted?

Another 5K coming up lol:D
:ROFLMAO: i dont think so, i havent got mug written on my head anymore... i think i wos just heavily over charged for absolutely evrything. it wos silly! but do you know why it cuts out more when the lights are on? its really bugging me :(

im just thinking you might be over loading the system and it has an kill switch that triggers.

I think it will be the earth but it might be a short.

Did the diagonistics test show anything

AHHHHHHH! lol the problem is getting worse, it seems that its more so if u apply a bit more gas, boom, it cuts out lol! il check the hoses tonight!

ok... so now the pistons have gone and are knocking as they go up and down... it started tonight, so i've put the bravo to bed :( no idea where to go from here, please help, it might not even be the pistons, might be solvable, really want an hgt, oh lordy lord:bang:
