I've read through this since about 20 pages into the thread.

From the start i've been "UP for it"
Still am.

Agree with TB.
Seeing plenty of meetings going forward on/off the forum.
Any input required from myself i will put forward. best meeting point for midlands people is BASSETS POLE.
Has a Micky D's and also where PAINTBALL IS.
Big island that has various routes off it and also big car park to start from.

Thanks

Went over to Yorkshire and had a meet with stilosporting back in January. Made some progress and ss said he would put a post up about it but I think he's lost interest.

not so much lost interest but ive had other things to worry about and havent been able to concentrate on anything really let alone this. :(

i will get the info we worked out up today and then it can be taken from there.

i know one concern for people was that it could be high mileage in a short space of time but you have to remember what this was for, to see the uk. how else would you do it? bus, train?

the second is cost. now cars on average have 5 seats. nothing to stop people grouping up and going together. all the more fun i say.

which leads on to the third, accomidation. well you can do the cheap social option and camp. or the comfy option and stay in a hotel/b&b.

bravo sean sold his car and got a 1.8 mitsubishi carisma  (he says it goes like s**t of a stick but is an old blokes car. why they called them a carisma i do not know, because that is one thing they are lacking

as for the idea of 3 or 4 people perhaps grouping together in a car, thats quite a good idea

I think you've all lost interest.

I don't want to say i told you so....
How dare you sir!!! If I had a gauntlet I'd slap you in the face with it, then throw it on the ground. Pick it up, if you dare. I will meet you at dawn. Pistols or swords. Choose your weapons.
Oh, sorry. I've just remembered, I'm on earlies. Some other time maybe.
That reminds me, I'll go myself, as I've said before. I seem to remember a small wager being mentioned at some time.

Wow, a marathon 31 pages!

I'd be up for something like this - would depend on the dates though as getting time off in my job is less than easy! :(

Not sure why people were getting worked up at the mileage, 1000 miles in a week is pretty easy going - I've done that in two days!
