Few issues

Hey guys, been having a few issues with my car. Firstly, the steering feels very light and unresponsive. When going round bends with a bit of pace the car occassionally seems to jerk to one side (usually on a right trn) almost as if someone had turned the steering wheel more.

Secondly the rear suspension feels funny. I had the N/S rear shock changed a few weeks ago and it hasn't been the same since. I recently did a lot of driving on the motorway and it felt fine but the past week or so it has felt very bouncey and when going over speed bumps it feels like the back end is hitting something (it isn't, it just feels this way).

Any suggestions?

for the front end (steering) i would look to the bushes or the complete suspension arms. Check them to see if there is excess play in any of them. I had a similar problem when on the motorway and changing lanes it felt as though the steering was unresponsive and light, felt like i was going to drift into the wrong lane at any moment. Turned out a couple of bushes had play in them

as for the rear it may be because you only changed one of the rear shocks, meaning that one is going to be a lot stronger than the other now. That may be why the back end is dodgy, but im not sure about the noises your hearing. I would just guess that because it was fine before and not after it must be the shock being changed that has caused it.

sorry, didn't mean to say the noises your hearing, rather the feeling that your back end is hitting something.

Fotgot to mention that it still knocks!

I had to replace something at the front...think it was an anti-roll bush...not too sure though. I hope it's not more money I have to spend on the thing.

Surely if there was any play then it would have been spotted when it was MOT'd? (couple of weeks ago)
