I have fitted new plugs & coil packs/leads & now tick-over is about 1000rpm Punto 85 cabrio
All linkages are free & lubricated.
Goes like a little cracker....straight round to 6500+
Any ideas?

Is that when it is fully warmed up after a run and settled down?
Is it a Weber twin choke?
If so is the second choke/throttle closing.
Also I can't remember for sure, but does it have a large mixture/volume control screw as if so engine slows down as it is screwed in.

Oh what age and make of injection.
I just looked up a 1995 manual and it showed Webber carb
I have AutoData technical data manuals
1997- multi point ignition described as "with static advance integrated with the FI" Weber-Marelli.
Mr Heynes tells you how to take it apart, but not much help on troubleshooting!
I have a generic code reader, so will try & find the plug/socket ()near the ECU I believe!) & see if it reveals anything...
Thanks
David
