not sure if this is normal or not but im assuming not as it only started after being repaired from a crash.

when idleing the car for a couple of minuites or even at traffic lights the fan kicks in and the car shakes a little then an anoying loud whirring noise starts then cuts out, but all is fine when on the move i have no idea what to look for if anything is acctually wrong with it so any advice is helpfull.

well the fan is only about 2 months old so that should be alright, the temp gauge in the car is not showing its overheating,

The fans have 2 speed settings and usually the highest setting makes it really loud like you described. So the lower setting on the fan may not be working for whatever reason.
Corroded terminals? etc
