Technical Exhaust gasses smell burned,..

Hi guys,.

About 1,5 month ago I replaced the headgasket,. The exhaust manifold gasket . Waterpump and the distribution belt,.

Didnt have any problems there and the car runs great again,.

So now 1,5 month later my exhaust gasses started to smell burned when I'm giving a push on the throttle,.. So I have been checking my coolland fluid and oil for several days and this stays good so I have no clue what this could be

So if one of you reconizes this, pls share your solution or idea

The cat convertor' couid be fubard.

they create bad smells when failed.
& sometimes a previous H/g failure can wipe them out,

id have an emisions test done to confirm,

My h/g didnt fail on me but it was almost about to,.

To my shock it hasnt been replaced at all,. They told me they did when I bought it same about the timebelt,.

I have been pretty f*cking lucky if you ask me

Can you read these data via obd2 if so i can do it myself with multiecuscan,.

Ifso what data should be given

Hope its a cheap fix

You can't DIY test a catalytic converter without a gas analyser, unfortunately.

BUT -- the smell may be due to the cat running hot because of incomplete combustion. Worth doing a code check for that first.
