It looks as though it is showing the vehicles Average Speed at 16mph.
I don't think any of my vehicles would ever show that
How ever if you consult the owners hand book I think if you access the on screen display settings you can change to different information.
If engine light still comes on see if other warning messages appear.
It may be that the engine error codes need reading.
Thank you I did look at that I was doing 30mph at the time but just wondered if that meant anything as well, it says check engine, he had a part fitted which was air flow mass sensor and light went off for a day then came back on, had a computer plugged in before problem and it said sensor so we got one fitted but light still comes up after any ideas please? Garage probably deleted all error codes when doing the MAF sensor.
It would have been helpful if they had shown you a printout of all error codes they found.
Normally after new parts fitted another code read is done to confirm problem fixed.
There are cheap code readers for less than £20 around , but many on Fiat Forum use MES (multiecuscan) diagnostic tool and can advise you on the results from that.
Read the hand book regarding the display messages if only to rule out any extra confusion.
Ok thank you for your help will have another look As error messages was cancelled off but all coming back up not gone in limp mode at moment, thank you for getting back to me
+1 on reading the codes again, not necessarily the same issue as before, could be anything.
I wouldn't be without a scan tool now as most places charge just to plug it in (with variable results if they don't have fiat specific software) .
