Technical Engine overheating !!!!

My fiat 500 seams to be running too hot to the point of over heating, the temp On dash shows 4 red blocks/squares temp, is this normal???? We have changed the thermostat and still no better. Please help i am stressed !! Thanku

Is the car new? Or new to you??

Also, are you counting large or small blocks? Normal operating temperature on the 500 is halfway round the gauge - which on mine is actually 4 small blocks.

It's an 08 plate it's new to me though,I'm counting small blocks it has 4 small blocks in total. So I'm guessing that this is normal! Thankyou for help )

This is normal btw
