Technical Electric shutdown: engine check, steering off, all dials down

Hi I’m hoping someone has had this or can direct. Complete electric failure of all codes (RAC attended) Still started and drove but steering very heavy. No speed dial etc. RAC reset codes and we drove half mile and went again. Garage fitted new wing mirror (they broke) and thermostat, checked all earth wires after a reset and it hasn’t reoccured. Still at garage driving it to see if happens again. I have a 650 mile journey to do in a few days and extremely concerned if this happens and i am on the motorway.

Having a similar issue with the wife’s Renegade, all except the steering fault, plus randomly telling us that the terrain selector, or ASR, or TPS is unavailable, strangely it also says ‘lane detection’ which wasn’t available for another full twelve months…it goes into Turin Motors tomorrow…our independent Jeep specialist hasn’t got the Fiat based software to sort…the odd thing is, wehn it goes into limp or cut out a few turns on the starter and it would completely behave itself, it completely baffled the RAC guy
