Hi guys
I have an issue with a ducato motorhome 2001
The orange key light on dash sometimes stays on and the vehicle won’t start
Then once it does go out the vehicle starts straight away
Is there a decent fox for this or a disconnect of imobiliser and fit a retro fit imobiliser after

Help really needed as don’t want to get stuck and break down
Ducato 2.8jtd 2001 motorhome

Thanks in advance

Firstly does it do this with all spares keys?
If you have a good auto locksmith locally I would check with them.
Failing that,if similar to a 2001 2.8 Iveco Daily I had with Bosch ECU, the chip in the key "talks" to the immobilser ECU via the antenae ring around the steering lock, which on recognising the chip tells the engine ECU to allow the engine to start. So any poor connections could affect it.
In my case what I didn't know before steam cleaning inside the cab (ex highways vehicle) was that it was common practice to tape the chip from the key to the antenae ring and stuff it behind the speaker as the drivers had a habit of snapping the expensive keys!
You may get a clearer reliable signal this way. (your risk!!!)
In my case the Dealer wanted a £1000 if I towed the 3.5 tonne pickup 30 miles to them!
I managed to find a company that disabled the immobiliser at the ECU for £137.;)

Where can I find the company that disabled the immobiliser at the ECU for £137

I have exact same problem 2004

It was a diagnostic/tuning company in Bradford several years ago and when I tried to get them to do the same on another vehicle they said the guy who did it no longer works for them.
It was a Bosch MS 6.3 ECU I think and when I tried a local firm they said they couldn't do it, I suspect it is a skill many ecu tuner/writers can do if willing.
