Hi there, I have a 2011 Ducato that has just done 115,000 km's and have no idea if the timing belt has been done. Neither the prervious owner, nor any dated stickers in the engine bay that I can find. Apparently its every five years or 180,000 km's which is a bit ambiguous. Any suggestions?

Don't go by years, strictly mileage base. It's up to you as you still have plenty of mileage left. If you feel like spending money then go for it.

every 5 years is the most important figure in cambelt change, few people apart from white van man achieves the milage before 5 years. yours is doing about 10,500km PA so low milage and should have had 2 belts done by now and third due 2026 if done on time. If the previous owner cant tell you when it was done do it now. Only those that never had a belt go suggest waiting. I had a passat booked into having a replacement 1 month and 5000 miles before due , 2 days before appointment belt went.

Hi

I was told by my local Fiat Professional dealer that 6 years should be OK for a low mileage-per-year vehicle. On the other hand, if the belt failed at just over 5 years I'm not sure they would be the ones picking up the bill for a new engine.

The handbook advice isn't ambiguous, it's 5 years or 180,000 km (112,000 miles) whichever comes first.
