I though this was worth posting
my engine was not starting straight away after getting warm all the advise pointed towards vapour issues and other issues After viewing a you tube clip on how important battery power was not just for cranking and my engine turned over ok but wouldn’t start I decided to change it and plus for security fit another earth strap from gearbox to chassis
Problem solved no more starting problems. Certainly much cheaper than large garage bills and scratching heads for months.

Thanks for the post and welcome to the forum.

I echo the sentiments expressed above, but I am not convinced by the cure.

My first reaction to the original post was to think, camshaft sensor failing when warm.

Surely a warm engine is easier to crank than a cold one?

Is it possible that a failing sensor has been masked by the new battery?
