Having picked up my 2017 2.3 multi jet camper last week, the orange warning light, and drl/parking light check message appeared :0(
The following morning I took a look, to find the bottom of the headlight cluster about 1" deep in water.
I also noticed that the middle headlight dust cap was missing, and this was under a slightly blocked windscreen rain channel.

I have dried out the standing water to the best of my ability, but still no lights and the error remains.

Is there anything I can do/test before having to consider £500 of new cluster?

I meant the complete headlight units. Secured so they cannot be damaged as they will obviously not fit in the apertures.
I don't know if the actual connectors are 'handed' so I suggest disconnecting them and confirming they look the same.

Check the fuses first :)
Thanks. Only just got and it's raining, so any cluster swapping or fuse checks are tomorrow's jobs!
I wasn't aware of a specific fuse for the drls though.... I thought I'd read that they were BCM "fused" - does that mean that the ECU just turns em off if it thinks something is wrong (such as water damage)? 🤔

The DRL use the previous side light circuits but of course are energised all the time the ignition is on. When the lights are then switched on the DRL's become the sidelights and operate at half power. With ignition off and light switch to on then the DRL's are the front parking lights .
I presume one side of the vehicle works correctly and the other not at all?
The BCM will shut the circuit down if the expected current being drawn is outside its expected parameters.

Hi all.
Just an update!
Swapped clusters round, and the problem swapped as expected.
Then assumed faulty drl module, so swapped, and the fault swapped as expected.
My solution is now to locate a reasonably priced module.

Best price is currently a tatty looking used match on ebay from Lithuania at£84
Best new module is £250😟

Tried a few UK breakers, but no luck

update :

the replacement unit arrived from Lithuania , and worked, despite looking signifcantly more water damaged /corroded than mine!

Result!

Thanks for holding my hand everyone ...esp Ray!
