Hello guys, im new here, iam sorry for my bad English but i have a problem on my fiat grande punto 2006 5D. For some reason from my driver’s side windows switches, the passenger’s switch does not working(there is no light on the switch but the passenger’s side the light is on). I have opened both of the switches to clean them with some isopropyl alcohol and test the connections and the resistances and everything is fine. Before the problems begin when i open the driver’s door, the passenger’s switch light turn off and when i close the door the light switches turn on. Also i notice that when i open the driver’s door there is no warning light on the dashboard but if i open the trunk or the other doors the warning light show on. There is someone who can help me about it? Thanks for your time:)

Isopropyl is going to do virtually nothing to clean a switch..... no point in using that.

But if you've confirmed (with a multimeter) the switch contacts actually close when you select the switch then the switch is ok anyway.

Maybe the cabling is damaged as the door cables go to the body ?...... You'd need to check continuity of each cable from the switch to whichever connector it connects to in the car body (BCM/body control module?)
