The driver side electric mechanism has seized. I tried to remove it today, but the motor has I think overrun itself and jammed in to sit ion forcing the guild rail down in the bolt holes making it very difficult to remove without some serious force. I was being very wary of breaking the glass. I pulled the retention clip off but could not free the glass, so the only way, I think, is to remove as gently as possible and drop the assembly door in the door these releasing the presume on the whole assembly. Now to a replacement mine is a 52Plate X244. The motor is separate from the guide shaft and is bolting in place by 3 bolts. The guide is held by 2 bolts at the top and 1 at the bottom. If if release the motor bolts from the door panel the motors falls away. I cannot find a replacement unit other than second hand where the motor is separate, I can only find new units where the motor is fixed to a plate that is fixed to the guide rail. Does anyone know if these are interchangeable with mine.

The red circles indicate the motor mounting bolts and the yellow circles the 3 guide mounting bolts.

It sounds like you are doing all the things I would re undoing everything and gently dropping down to gain access.
Hopefully after undoing the channels you will have more movement, as a last resort sometimes you can ease the rubbers out of the channels to get more movement.
Apart from that I have often found delays in getting wiper mechanism and had to resort to cutting a length of wood to jam the glass up to the closed position to keep it secure whilst waiting for parts.
Have you tried any "badge engineered " alternatives, Citroen/Peugeot etc.

No I haven’t to be honest, but will do. I’ve contacted the seller to see if they are interchangeable as they clearly state it fits my model.

Well pleased to say the replacement unit did fit and works perfectly, I managed to remove the motor from the seized unit only 2 screws, and pull it out to release the worm gear allowing the window to drop slightly. Had to apply some pressure on the winder motor assembly to be able to access the screws. I was able to drop the window enough to disconnect the carrier then hold the window up whilst removing the unit and replacing with the new unit. £40 well spent.
