General Does 2003 Punto have a EGR?

I always assumed it hasn't but does a 1.2l petrol manual 2003 Punto have a EGR valve ?

no egr on 1.2 petrol

No. The 1.3 and 1.9 diesel do. The 1.2 petrols dont

Petrols dont produce NoX emissions like diesels do, as cylinder temperatures dont fluctuate as much vs a diesel when cruising

Nox usually happen when cruising or idle
The fumes are re:introduced back into the combustion to inhidit some combustion and reduce the temperature

Egrs are nothing but a pain in the ass!!!
