Well, my dad and I set off for London to go to the flagship store, i wanted to buy lots of extras for my new 500 plus some merchandise. I was hoping to see the boot organizer and the Fragrance thingmybobby, and they didn’t have any accessories at all! Told us we had to go to Battersea for that, also they didn’t have anything on my merchandise list either everything was "out of stock"

Plus it was about 300 degrees in there, only three 500 's a diesel, 500c in funk white with red roof, and the Abarth.

so we left with all my cash still in my pocket - they never even had any brochures !! My dealer was much better.

What a waste of a day’s holiday - not to mention the train costs!!! Am not a happy lady at all!!!

Now, you did phone beforehand to check stock - didn't you?

Not that it necessarily would have helped you – I was also planning a trip to that store last week – AND I tried calling beforehand to find out which models they had in the showroom. The lady on the phone tried all the lines.. all busy... said someone would call me back about it... no-one ever did though.

So I didn't go... good job too , it sounds like it would have been a wasted journey. In the end I went back to my local dealers and luckily they had in all the models I wanted to see.

I would like to add a small thing. I have been to the flagship store 2 times and my experience has been horrible !!!

Everyone was rude to me and no one was bothered I was there. They thought I was just some dude !! having a look at the cars and I couldn't afford one or something.

I had to be a bit rude to the lady and then some guy came and still was not bothered to explain me about the car !! This happened with me both the times.

Now some people will say they had to problems at the store but I was looking and they were nice to all the people there but didn't even bother to greet me.

I bluntly told the guy that I paid for the car in one go a cheque of around £19,000 (which I actually did). I am sorry I am no show off but that was the stupidest and the rudest thing which came to my mind !! LOL and the chap was looking at my face and I walked off !! (this happened in my second visit when I went to see the abarth)

Also they didnt have any brochures for me, but they were giving them away to other people in front of me. On asking they told me they had run out but they had more. Now some people of this forum were all over me that they cost like £5 or something and blah blah, ok I am ready to pay for the whole lot !!!

when people are having this sort of negative experience in what is supposed to be a flagship store, does anyone else think Fiat ought to be told about it?

You mean like they should be told about the crap service in a dealer when you're buying.

Or the crap service in the service dept when you go in for a service.

Or the crap way they approach warranty claims

Sure, go ahead. If you think you can get them to care.....

I'm glad my local Fiat dealers has a better range of cars to look at than the one in town – its much more convenient for me.

However they really shouldn't call the Marylebone one a 'Flagship' store if it doesn't have all the cars to look at or the accessories/merchandise on sale. What is it for otherwise??

i've never been to the flagship store but my dad went there earlier in the year. they didn't have many 500's there, 2 white ones i think. but the lady there said they had a late delivery or something. they had no brochures, they'd never been sent any (we finally got one through the post this morning !!)
my dad brought back a 500 car usb... the last one in stock, said there wasn't much else there to buy.
the lady also offered to show him round but he didn't have time.
i guess it was ok, but eh, it's a bit fancy with not a lot in it.

I can only speak from my own experience. I recently ordered Abarth SS from Flagship Marylebone and received ablsolutely wonderful service from sales guy Sam Bryer. OK they maybe didnt have brochures or stock, but the service and attention to detail I received from Sam Bryer was excellent.

For the last two days I've been trying to check if they have a qubo on display with this falgship store and I have the same story has above:

The lady or bloke on the phone tries the lines and says they're all busy. Says someone will call me back about it... no-one ever does (n)(n)(n)

I rang 4 times already on two days!!! If that's the way they treat you when you want to buy a car I can't imagine the how badly it must be once you bought the car and there's a problem with it.

Hence I don't think I'll buy Fiat

Nobody seems happy with Fiat Marylebone, the service is poor and the attitude of the staff sucks. I was looking to buy a Fiat 500 a couple of years ago and went in there, I was checking the small selection of showroom cars out and NOBODY came over to help. I was practically walking about waving my money in the air saying 'PLEASE SELL ME A 500!'. I had a almost new low mileage Mini Cooper to PX, and eventually I cornered a member of staff who snottily told me that they weren't accepting any part exchanges on the car. It struck me that they'd probably had a lot of celebs coming in to buy one, and that they were starstruck and looking down their nose at just 'regular' punters. I felt my money wasn't good enough to be honest, and in the end I went out of London to Simonstone Fiat Bristol where I got a good PX price for the mini and ended up with a great 500. Simonstone Fiat also loaned me a 500 demonstrator for a few weeks when my delivery was late, and the staff were excellent. Fiat need to take the selection of staff more seriously when dealing with a flagship store, I bought my previous car (a Mini) from a BMW dealership who bent over backwards to assist in every way even though I wasn't Jonathan Ross.

I visit london quite a lot and always visit all the car showrooms in the centre, including Fiat, Mini on Park Lane etc.
I am only looking, but a salesman always comes over to me,then leaves me to look after i tell him i am only looking.
The cars in the showroom change just as in any showroom, but usually have a Panda and a few 500s. Last time they had an Abarth 500 and the Abarth 500C.
Did you know it used to be the Mercedes and Smart showroom? I used to visit in those days as well.
