Technical Dipped headlights

I have a 2024 fiat 500 mild hybrid. The dipped headlights are not bright at all from new. I just bought and got installed at Halfords some new 200% brighter bulbs but they're even worse, I can barely see 3m In front at night, can't see ahead and it's terrifying. The lights seem a pale yellow not white or glowing bright. Advice please? Thank you

The 500 lights have traditionally not been fantastic, (its a city car..)

Some people do report improvements with "hotter bulbs", personally I am not a fan, as they don't last

Firstly,

Make sure the lights are clean..

Mine are very yellow now (covered in all the road grime following the snow)

SEARCH on here is good

Search : Nightbreaker

on here, specifically 500 posts, as they are the worst for lights

DO get the beam pattern /headlight aim checked though

You may find your front driving lights are also useful

If it's really that bad I'd be taking it back to the dealer to sort out!
