Id say its good if you wanner use it for rough sports or somewhere where it might get broken or stolen but for proper photgraphy it doesnt stand a chance

its not just the mega pixels the lens has to be good aswell

but unless your a proper picture enthusiast then i would say it looks pretty good

Someone's working to hard then (n) :p

Hope your having fun at work at the mo.

The shifts are long but I only have to do three a week so I get more days off (y)

Plus I'm working in one of the leading heart and lung hospitals in the UK so it's really interesting and a great place to work (y) (y) (y)

haha i'll' let ya off mate :D

Cheers Alex! Had a nice lie in today so my brain has recovered and not so sleepy!

Oh yes, I might be on the look out for another camera as my Fuji digicam is getting a bit long in the tooth. I got it for Xmas 2002 so in digital terms it's almost an antique now. Still works great but a bit chunky and only 2mp, yet it takes great pictures. Thing is, I'm always a bit wary of funny named brands, so is it still best to stick with well known camera makers (Fuji, Canon, Nikon, Olympus etc.) or are the cheaper cameras just as good?

With Asda they are pretty good at giving money back if you are not happy.

I've seen 8mp+ cameras that take worse pictures than the 3mp cameras.
Has stated the lens and quality of the sensors needs to be up to scratch.

At £32 though it's gotta be an option.

vivitar arent all that shabby, i paid £90 for a 9mp fuji in 2007, was a bargain at the time and its still tidy

decent camera deals come up on hotukdeals.com every so often, mine came from hell on earth, i mean tesco

I got this camera as a 'disposable' to take on my hols where it got wrecked. It's rubbish! Colour's all dodgy and there's no way to fix the size at 8mp, it keeps resetting itelf to 3mp :bang: So I wouldn't advise anyone else to buy it.

Judging by how good my Samsung phone camera is (also 8mp) in comparison, I'll be sticking with it from now on.

I've alway stuck with Olympus (down side dedicated batteries) or Fuji as good kit. A said above, good optics make up for less mp. More mo will not compensate for crap optics.

Stick with good photographic makes...
Cannon, Nikon, Olympus (my fav) and you'll be OK
