General Curious - Center Console Not Central?

Hey folks, noticed this last night for some bizarre reason. Is everyones center console slightly off center?

Also on a LHD car is it offset to the left? or is it a ploy to let Lefties have more room.

although if it is offset, it will be so that the centre console is easy to reach while you are driving. Ergonomics etc

LOL pic taken in 3rd gear which lines up with the right side of the Aircon screen. Must be a reason just wonder what anyone elses is like.

mine is a lhd and it is slighltly towards the driverw seat.just like yours. so i quess it is normal.

oh, i realise what you mean now thought you meant the bit where the air con/ headunit is lol

it will be offset so that it is in better reach of the driver, and also to help stop you touching the passengers leg when you are changing gear

Fiat's normally are lazily converted to RHD. I heard somewhere that the mk2b in LHD has a foot rest!.

Or the pedal spacing on the Sei. Used to get a wierd pain in the foot as you almost have to press your foot down and turn it anti clockwise to use the accelerator else you end up hitting the wheel arch.
