Hopefully sometime next week the Bravo will be in for a replacement near-side drop-link under warrenty. I am waiting on the part being ordered and arriving at the garage.

Whilst in being repaired am I entitled to a courtesy car. As I use the car for work (can't do without it as I travel all over to various sites for work) I really can't afford to lose it for the day whilst it is in for repair.

The other option is to book it in on a Saturday but you can imagine how many weeks I need to wait for that as Saturday's are high in demand.

Usually, although it is dependant on the garage having one available. Phone them 1st thing in the morning to book one in order to avoid disappointment (if not already).

Yeah let them know that you need a courtesy car so they can book one in for you.

Be prepared to pay for insurance for it though! I think from memory Arnold Clark is something like £11 per day

I've never had to do so before for any courtesy car I've had.

And I won't be now. If the cars in for a manufacturing problem repair
then isn't it up to Fiat to provide me with a car at their cost whilst they fix their problems on my car?

You can swap your own insurance over for a day for this purpose at no cost. Just phone your insurer when you take yours in and give them the details of your courtesy car with a brief explanation as to why it's necessary. I've had no problems with 3 different insurers.

I wouldn't say you are entitled to a courtesy car but when something goes wrong on a brand new then if the garage didn't offer a car I would demand one.

Never had to pay for insurance though! Why would you pay when you could just swap your insurance over to the courtesy car?

Not every company/policy allows this and those companies that do sometimes charge an admin` fee. Dont assume you are automatically covered for courtesy cars just because you have fully comp, but in saying that its unlikely the dealer will give you the keys without seeing proof of your cover. The dealer option is cheap but read the small print on the document.........I discovered (without being told) that on my dealers policy that tyre, glass, trim-damage etc is not covered and if you stuff it you will be expected to pay an eye-watering £750 excess.

should make techs work on sundays then :p

I used to work in a 24/7 garage, wasn't that bad but there is a legal/safety issuethat there must be at least 2 people in workshop with one being first aid type training thing.

but if they haven't got one then you can demand as much as you want cause you wont get. Its a 'courtesy' car (clue is in the name) and not a legal right however have a look at what your AA cover covers as you might well be entitled to a hire car.
