hopefully its not a lot of money to do :( reving it self and loads of smoke from the leaking core plug and running rough :(

do i need to replace the core plug and head gasket?

Right..

I dont know if its over heating i ant got a temp gauge but i notice coolant was coming out the tube so i change the cap to see if it was that and it didnt do anything so i was going to garage to say why is it doing it but then i notice i was running without oil so topped it up and then was running fine and then i turned car off and then on (petrol station) it didnt start and then tryed again then it started and was taping for could of seconds and then it went away and got home and i could hear the coolant gurggling in the tube so had dinner and i went out for long trip and when i was driving the car started tapping again but constantly now and i started seeing smoke come for the engine when i was driving it got to a point where i couldnt go any faster cos the tapping noise was getting louder so i stopped cos i was losing power and i looked in the rear view mirrow and the smoke behind me was crazy!! but then when i pulled over the car just died on me so i opened the bonnet and then i go the service truck to come to me(1 in the morning at night) and he said its possible the core plug is leaking thats where the smoke was coming from, i notice when i was driving aswell my heating(Hot) wouldnt work just pure cold air.. but car been sitting outside my house for 2 days and i tryed k seal and it seemed to run better but it still rev's itself when i start it and the oil has no cream at all soon as i put k seal in the coolant smoke started coming from the exhuast so dont know what k seal did because when i didnt put k seal in there was no smoke coming from the exhuast at all and now i put k seal in then now there is.. serivce guy said its the core plug whats leaking and thats making the smoke and the tapping noise is the head gasket blown.. thats the whole story lol :)

im getting the core plug and headgasket replace..

you need to make sure that the pistons havent picked up or a big end hasnt gone before you get the core plug and gasket done
seriously your engine sounds scrap from your description and not helped by putting k seal in as this will cause havoc with the system over time

You may be wasting time and money. The tapping is metal rubbing against metal. Shouldn't happen. If it does happen, things wear out at an alarming rate. Nothing apart from re-bore, new pistons, new bearings, will fix that kind of damage. And wait! You could be the lucky person who has fubared the cam bearings. Yes, you'll need a new head!

And so on.

I'd be inclined to find a new engine. Any cack handed fool can fit one.

are you volunteering:p

sounds like engine is cooked.

so id agree with what as been said above. Find good low mileage engine and replace,.

By the time you have Paid for Headskim, gaskets/core plug/water pump./thermostat & dont forget sparkplugs will be cooked too,

it wouid work out cheaper to replace it .

having mechanic to look at it at half 6 today so see what he says but the car doesnt seem to make the tapping noise anymore.. the car does drive but feels rough but let you guys know what the mechanic says :) thank you tho for your help ect.
