Hi I’ve got a 2010 Fiat Ducato 3 liter Autotrail cheiften parked it up last weekend fine came to it this weekend and I’ve got a error code on the dash check transmission with the red warning light of a gear stick and it is in limp mode won’t rev up I can get 1st and reverse gear when the engine is of I can hear the arm in the box working fine. When I plugged it in to the diagnostic tool I get 2 codes P0101 air flow meter signal and P111 air flow air temp signal. I have red about slow turn over of the engine now mine isn’t to slow but it seems to turn over a good few times before it starts up I’ve had the starter reconed new battery and 4 new heater plugs so I no there all good can anyone help thanks

I dont know much about the comfortmatic but the codes both refer to MAF sensor. If you disconect the sensor it should start using the default values in the ecu. For comfortmatic check the fluid levels in both chambers/ pots and colour, black means change.
But would a mass air sensor fault trigger a gear box fault

I’ve just turned of the faults again so no engine management light is on now but still
Very unlikely, they are probably totaly independent, two different problems unless someone knows different
ive no gear box fault showing on the diagnostic

What diagnostic tool are you using?

Basic obd2 reader is not capable of reading gearbox codes

You will need something that can read FIAT transmission faults. message states check transmission and red transmission warning light is on .....it has a fault.

Multiecuscan is recommended

Ok so up date on my check my transmission fault with no gears be able to be selected and it was in limp mode
So my diagnostic so I had mass air sensor code I took out the air box the u bend at the bottom of the air filter box was full of water so I cleaned it all out new air filter cleaned all round the seal also I checked the earth cable that sits underneath the air box and it was loose so tighten that up put all back but still had the transmission fault and in limp mode so also on the diagnostic it was saying brake light switch fault so for 12 pounds I changed that but still had the transmission fault so I went onto another forum and I red a post saying that the power feed for the mass air sensor is powered by the reverse lights so I put it in reverse no reverse lights checked the bulbs they was fine checked the fuse it was blown so I put a new fuse in reverse lights work and all the transmission faults gone revs up perfectly been out on test drive pulls like a train massive difference but it’s crazy how a fuse for the reverse lights can trigger a transmission fault hope this helps people out in the future who might experience this fault took a lot of investigation as I would never of thought that

I'm confused, the MAF problem was water based but also blew the fuse for reverse light. it also had triggered a transmission fault?
Does this fuse feed other sensors?
I think the water has been in there ages and it was just luck I was stripping the air box out to check the earth cable I’ve no clue why the fuse has blown and I’ve no clue how long for

I'm looking out for forums with specialist knowledge on the Comfortmatic. Which forum did you get this info from? Thanks!

There is a massive thread on this forum dedicated to dualogic comfortmatic transmissions
