I asked the seller about the engine in the B he is breaking,
Q: Hi Whats the mileage of the engine? Is the engine fully working, no water in the oil or diesel sound when the engine is started from cold ? any Cambelt problems ? thanks Doc Orange Peel

A: i dont have the key, it was running when it came in but the customer lost the key, it will have a 3 month warranty though, the head gasket is ok
Not much info so I am going to give it a miss, I am looking for a mint engine with lots of paperwork.

Ps I should have asked him why the B is up for breaking, I could not see anyting wrong with the car in the pictures and if the engine is OK, why is it not for sale as a working car ??

it could have been siezed, no tax, no Ins etc and are not allowed to be sold as complete cars by the removal contractors but are allowed to be sold as parts.

I would assume he is lying. Yep unbroken with no problems seems stupid.

fellas... anyone interested in chipping in to share the purchase... could save a stack of money in the long term. I'm after a few bits... door inards and a hood. may be able to find somewhere to stash it... me folks have a farm about 40 mins from hereford. just an idea. whaddyathink?

Just paid for a new hood, new bumper and a centre console so I'm affraid I'm out

Chaps,
The car had a fire in the rear tonneau area, so the interior is a bit shot. Plus I've already had the front bumper and all 4 suspension springs off it
The seller is a genuine salvage yard up in Mansfield - seemed very professional when I went up to pick up my bits. Give him a bell and see if he still has what you need.

Not sure - it may be me that's wound up!
£200 + vat for the bumper
£100 + vat for 4 springs.

About right I paid £180 plus postage from Germany, well I will if the money ever arrives
I bought that engine, all seems fine. There was a hole in the sump that the seller told me about prior to delivery. The only thing is, I think the timing is out because it runs perfectly but is down on power when under load....any other ideas??

Get a compression test done. Only other thing I can think of is O2 sensor making the engine run lean, exhaust baffles blocking the exhaust? or the variator.
