I have a motorhome on a 2012 Fiat Ducato with a comfortmatic gear box. At a recent service the brake fluid (which I understand operates the clutch) was changed because it was apparently discoloured. Since then the feel of both auto and manual gear changes is different. The problem can best be described as a 'secondary push' occurring 1-2 seconds after the gear change. It happens on all changes up, but is most obvious between 1st and 2nd gear. I haven't driven a manual vehicle for some years, but I would say It feels similar to the clutch pedal being half lifted and then fully released after a couple of seconds. This has only been happening since the brake fluid was changed. The clutch master cylinder was replaced about 15,000kms ago. Has anyone experienced this problem or can someone shed light on what's happening here? Is it a computer problem? Or is it a mechanical problem that if left unattended will cause further problems? Was this caused by the fluid change? Thankyou for your help.
