Hi folks,
I've been 'round all the local breaker yards looking for a clock for my '87 CL 1000. It should fit, I believe, into the top left of the control "box". Can anybody sell me one?

Regards,

Justin

Hi Toecutter,

is your CL the one with the overhead console or the one with the 4x4-type dash ?

If it's the latter, I should have a couple of clocks around somewhere.............please advise,

Regards....

hello there! i am new to the forum, but i have been driving pandas for over a year now. i have also been looking for a clock for ever, but every time i find an old clapped out abandoned one, or one down the scrappy, there is no clock!
i have no idea how long any journey i have ever made has been, and its all because i have no clock!!!
pandafan, could you be of some assistance please?????

4X4 or overhead? No idea, never seen a 4 x4 in real life. My interior consists of a round bar with fabric hanging from it and tacked just below the windscreen. There is an instrument cluster directly behind the wheel, and to its left, and at the same height, is a sort of box that has controls for the heater, lights and such. There is a plastic cover to the top left, a sort of 2 x 2" doo-hicky with one corner rounded over that says Fiat on it (in white). I belive this is where the clock was supposed to be mounted, if the tight-ass who originally bought the car would have stumped up another £3.

I explain all this in detail so you can definitively say which interior I have, as I have only ever seen the interior of my car, and two burned out wrecks at 2 scrap yards.

Well described Toecutter....

Yes, I must have a couple of those around, as they were fitted as standard in the 4x4's.

I'll check and come back to you.

Adrenalinmonkey, Hi !
As above !

Is this the sort of thing you want?

Ignore the mould :)

The Panda doesn't exist any more, but I did save the clock [8D]

Hi again,

Yes I have a couple of the clocks for sale (cheap). One is the same as steveyenson's picture (above) and the other is calibrated in 5min's, without minute markings....easier to read !
I think they're worth a tenner each, inclusive of p&p, what do you think ?

If your interested please e-mail me with your details : [email protected]

Regards,

£10???!!! I bought the whole car for £21! And that included 3 new tires, exhaust battery and alternator. Yeah, I'll probably have the clock. Here's an indicative cultural joke for you: Waht's the differenece between a Canadian and a canoe? Canoes tip.

I think £10 isn't bad at all. I was going to put my clock up on eBay for £5 as a starting point ...

Hi again..........I didn't wish to cause any controversy. I honestly believed that, at £10 all inclusive, I was doing you a favour !!!!

I could sell them for more to the owner's club; so don't feel beholden. It doesn't matter to me. Don't buy them in bad grace....go somewhere else.

As for buying Panda's: my cheapest was free and my dearest £1300..........it all comes down to what you're after. Gearboxes and engines are virtually free, whereas original clip-on plastic bits can run into hundreds ! I expect to pay a lot for my inclinometer.....it's the way it goes !
If fact, you did me a favour. I've been meaning to run electricity into my sheds for over two years now and; in order to search for your bits, I've finally wired the three of them up. For this, my wife loves you !
