Civic type r vs cupra r

2003 ish Honda civic type r EP3 or 2003 Seat cupra R 225

Cant decide which to chose for the life of me.

Civic has slightly better performance, but needs more of a thrashing to get it. Basic remap to the cupra would put it well above the civic.

Both similar money

Similar MPG's

Both similar ages for price

Handling of the civic is better

Cupra has a better styling in my opinion

I think the only thing that puts me off the cupra is that it doesnt compete with the reliability of the civic. Civic is also meant to be generally cheaper to repair.

Cupra all the way. Don't believe the Honda reliability hype.

Cupra R is more realisble, cheaper to run, looks better. And is actually quicker

Well the mk1 Leon which I think this is, is quicker than the same age civic, and the newer Cupra has more power.

thE only thing I'll add is;

the Leon has the same interior across the range, just buckets for the cupra/fr.

I used to own a mk1 Leon and the interior was bland and basic, although well made and easy. They all come with Tape Player radios, but have a multichanger in multi the glove box. They are basically a Passat interior with a few seat only dials. Its built to last, and functional. It works.

But I absolutely loved my Leon, its been my favorite car, over the Punto, GP and the Astra..

Not sure about the civics.

Interior is easy enough to change if it annoys me that much. Think i'll be fine. Will look for one with the nicer recaros if i can.

Thanks for advice. Will get put pics up when i get it. After a really good condition one in black so may take a few weeks.
