Hello,

It's been a long time since i was a frequent FF user, but I'm looking at getting a 70 plate city cross in a few days from a main dealer.
It has the repair kit however I would like the spacesaver version.
Not interested in getting a new one (££££) but would like to know what other owners have done, reading some posts I understand the wheels are 15 inch ( spacesaver ) to clear the calipers, the jack needs to be a different type due to the raised ride height of the city cross..
What set up is best? and cheapest option?

Thanks in advance!

Try a search in the Panda>2012section. There is a lot in there.

I have used a wheel from a Panda 100 which is a 15" space save I bought it from a dealer via eBAy about 18 months back for £40. SO watch wait and make an offer. You need a jack thats tall enough to lift the car. The sytandard Panda jack isnt tall enough. A jack from a Doblo or 500X certainly will. Again I got mine from eBay. Prices fluctuate so watch and wait. You also need a spare wheel securing bolt as an unsecured wheel would be very dangerous in a crash. I have a piece of plywood cut to fit the wheel and cover the wheel and support the boot carpet. There are at least two sizes of space saver mentioned and both should do the job. Check your hand book and it will state the ideal size. Search Panda 4x4 space saver and it will get you started.

Thanks TPN!

I'll look at eBay and slowly get it all set up.
I would imagine any 15inch fiat spacesaver will work, a 500x or doblo jack, which I presume will fit under the carpet/inside the spacesaver.

Jack won’t fit under rear carpet. Jack too big. Normal comes in a tool bag that stowed under passenger seat seat or in boot above carpet.
