My daughter has just bought herself a 2005 Citroen C2 1.4 with 40K on the clock. It's a nice little car, clean with FSH, etc. She's not keen on the Grande Puntos and wanted something newer than a Mk2/Mk2A.
My question: I've checked with Citroen - the C2 1.4 needs a new cambelt every 6 years or 60K miles so hers is due (and it will get done ASAP). However, the engine looks like a single cam jobbie and a lot like the Fiat 8V.
Do any of the engine experts know if the C2 1.4 is safe (like the 9V Fiat) if the cam belt fails?
