55+ years ago in November my first wife and I drove away on our honeymoon in a FIAT 850 Spider. Not too long ago I found a '72 Sport Spider up for sale. Pretty solid car... no rust! The engine ran well at higher rpms, doors flew open on spirited turns, stalled at red lights then started right up... half the time, and yes, horrible brakes. Did I say no rust. Sold!
My current, and still original wife and I retrieved the car those few months ago from it's warehouse collection home in Burbank, Ca and are having it sorted out by a proper FIAT mechanic. It may be ready before our upcoming wedding anniversary. The honeymoon car was a rich, lustrous dark green, this Spider has the color and the look of the Muppets' Kermit the Frog.
Thus the handle Arachniphibian.
