Hi all.

Back on this forum again, I used to run a 100HP from 2007 to 2012, great little car. Have now recently bought a 2004 Eleganza Dualogic. 61k and in good general condition. Car runs great, generally well looked after. Need an automatic for the wife to learn with. Have a few things to sort:

- No sign of a cambelt change, ever! So will be getting this done with an oil service very soon.
- Missing volume button on radio, does anyone have a spare/old unit with this button I can buy?
- Dualogic gearbox works well (I'm used to Smart cars too so the behaviour is familiar to me). I want to preserve it as long as possible (I am painfully aware of the failures/issues). At 61k is the clutch likely to be ready for changing? Also no record of the gearbox oil being changed. I will get that done at same time as the cambelt. Hints tips appreciated.

We live near Leicester, and I may use the Italian independent place in the city centre ( Intaservices.com ) , does anybody have experience with them? Otherwise we have a very good village garage, just thinking may be better to have the experts touch the gearbox :)

Thanks

Yes you are amazingly brave to take on a dualogic.

It is an automated manual.

Depending on type of roads it has been on then it could easily be nearly through its second clutch.....or still on first clutch.

Gearbox oil.....

ONLY SELESPEED FLUID IN THE ROBOT ......nothing else ever.

In the gearbox.... That's easy normal gearbox oil specified for the car, though the fill point requires careful finding behind the reservoir for robot fluid.

Do not ask a garage to change gearbox oil unless they understand dualogic and swear not to put gearoil in the plastic tank that looks like it is part of gearbox.....plastic tank is for Selespeed fluid.

I am used to mk1 Smart cars, so this gearbox is better than those :) Wife won't trouble it with her use of the car, nor try and rush it. Will probably get the cambelt done with a normal service and contact specialist about the gearbox fluids.
