So I took to google to search for the delta. I had no idea how identical they are to the bravo. Same switches, vents, driving position, if you look at it from the side it's exactly the same shape and everything. I'm gobsmacked

Not sure about the side profile it looks quite different to me but yes basic architecture is very very similar but the style of the delta is more radical and tends to divide opinion. At least it's slightly different from the norm.

The s series is even rarer than a limited, buy one whilst you can!

How many left website gives an idea of the amount of Limited's and S Series models that have been registered. All models listed. The 1.4 MultiAir She also wants to test as well in SR trim and then drive the opposite Bravo as a comparison.

Quick check on that and I reckon there was only about 700 or so Deltas' here - reckoning that this new a car would mean theres none hidden as SORN. I have seen a couple broken already after having been written off so the cars extremely rare already here.
I'll wager mines the only one thats been fully 'Lancia'ed' in the country as well :)
I get stopped every other day about the car - rarely seen a car get so much attention let alone one that a supposed family humdrum..........

Sorry Charlie would have loved to have gone in it to that as I've been to MITCAR before but we were away at the weekend. Next time/meet or if anyones ever around Coventry - call in!

The best guide to the number of deltas is to check the number of new registrations, the tax+sorn figure is unreliable as quite a few cars are on dealers forecourts this gives a figure of 908 of which one or two will indeed have now been written off. Despite the fact that it is rare to see one in the first full year sales of delta in UK 2012 was actually the third largest market for the car worldwide ahead of Germany but behind France and Italy.
My car doesn't get much attention day to day although I did once talk to someone who thought it 'funky' in fact most British folk who traditionally don't think out of the proverbial box actively dislike it but at least it provokes a reaction! Often think it is a shame that the underlying design isn't so forward thinking and radical, the thesis another magnificent sales flop is rather more wonderful but never made in RHD

If I'd realised folks were interested I'd have brought ours, I did take it to mitcar in 2013 where it generated a little interest but was handicapped by the chrysler badging. I noticed that this year a chrysler ypsilon turned up but appeared to be segregated to the outskirts.

Get it 'Lancia'ed rosso............. I get asked about mine and the Lancia brand all the time.........I was in Devon last month and watched from our window a chap actually stop his car in the road to get out and look around the car. So much so I popped out to say hello and he turned out to be a Fulvia Zagato/Beta Coupe owner. Going by those figures I'd say the first year sales had the generated first year interest. They cannot have sold that many outside of Italy in that case  I have seen two others since they were launched here (and subsequently withdrawn)......

The cost puts me off as i am not very flush at the moment plus the possible insurance implications are a concern and the fact that it is impossible to change everything a half and half chyslia might annoy me more than having it as it is now!

The only thing that I haven't changed is the Chrysler 'wing' etched in to the glass - and that will be removed shortly with an etching kit. Insurance is not an issue. They are only badges in as much as a sticker in any window. The Chrysler logo that lights up in the dash briefly when you get in the car is impossible to remove but I can live with that for one second. And the 'wing' in the headrests - no-one associates that with Chrysler without the logo anyway so again have left (though I have someone in Italy on the lookout for a Breaking Italian Delta!) The chap who stopped to view it in Devon considered himself to be a dedicated 'Lancisti' and even he did not realise it was a UK-spec'ed Chrysler'ed Delta.... The main cost in changing was the front Grille which came in around £100 delivered. Definately worth it IMO

air bag, sat nav spash screen, kick plates on sills etc. tbh can't even justify £100 for a grille better to spend that money on my beta coupé resto. project. I agree it looks better and isn't too expensive but I'm making do on not much more than min. wage at the moment so have to apportion funds carefully.

The Airbag I just removed the old badge and added a Stick-on Lancia.
Sat-Nav would be difficult but I don't have. Though you can source Lancia discs from Italy.
Sill kick plates - I sourced a Printer who made me up some LANCIA Martini stripes to cover the Chrysler badge. Look almost OE to me - I'll post an image asap.

And yes Panda........ As long as its mechanically not altered and I have accepted that any claim damage would be replaced on a 'as-new' (i.e. Chrysler!) basis - they are happy.:D

might make it a pain in the neck if shopping around for new insurance though as I figure each company may take a differing view point and explaining it all on each quote would do my head in!! When I had a LHD delta HPE HF it drove me a little mad with the hard work of explaining this and that at each quote.

The sat nav software is inside the unit only the maps are separate (on an sd card), it is actually the radio/cd/blue and me/media player/sat nav in one unit. The software can be updated via an on line site but the splash screen seems to be a fixed setting.
