Hi
I hope you don't mind me loitering on here but just bought a chrysler delta 2.0 limited and figured this is the nearest I am going to find to an active forum on it in the UK, after all it is basically a bravo that has been stretched a bit ......
As along time lancia owner I hate the chrysler badge but it was a great buy used far better than anything else less than 2 years old and with only about 10k on the clock!
One starter question anyone know what those two slots on the centre console are meant for? (I think bravo has them as well infact the whole dash layout is near identical in basic layout) they baffle me but must be for something handbook says not about them

I think what you are referring to are the two slots for the keys to remove the radio head unit. Can't see a close enough image of the Delta dash to quite see if they are the same.

They are card holders for credit card sized cards.

As above! Have you thought about getting a Lancia grill/badges etc from Europe? I'm guessing they're still sold as Lancias there?
The rest of the world seem to move on and judge cars on their own merit, yet in good old blighty we still think that what happened 30 years ago is relevant. ie Alfa/Fiat/Lancia products are rusty and unreliable and anything German is miles better! I think this was true once, but not anymore........

Congrats on the car, I really like them. Infact would have got one but her indoors doesnt like em

I briefly thought about the grille etc but I think the grille alone is about £140 plus to do the job properly you'd need ...
Grille, wheel centre caps, stainless kick plates, rear badge, steering wheel centre, headrests, sat nav welcome screen to be changed plus that rubbish international security register have etched chrysler on all the glass! None of this actually improves the car so I can live with the iffy badging, actually I'm less sure that it is the British public that are blinkered but more fiat itself as it doesn't seem that selling these as chrysler has been very successful, I have come across many folk that would have perceived a more upmarket image if the proper badge had been retained, I think people do still remember the rather grotty chrysler neon but consider the rust scandal is history

Maybe you should take her to properly look at one my wife was much more impressed when she actually saw our car, unfortunately recently it appears the range here has been cut so you can no longer get a 165bhp diesel new but then again why buy new when they are less than half new price barely used? The 165bhp 'limited' has poltrona Frau leather which is really nice quality soft and supple, even the dash has a leather covering, most of the essential extras are fitted sat nav blue and me and so on. The only extra on mine is the 18 inch wheels which I really like but the wife likes rather less. It's a real shame that they never imported the 1.9 twin turbo diesel 190bhp we always seem to suffer limited choice in the uk. Anyway took a little while to get used to the car but loving it and I really like the very avant-garde styling detail, it is very spacious although the boot could be a bit bigger, most versions have sliding/reclining rear seats but the limited, which has a more luxuriously upholstered seat out of the lancia delta executive, only reclines. The dash design and layout is near identical to the bravo so any bravo owner would feel very at home behind the wheel!

The slots are for credit/debit cards or parking tickets very handy for my parking in birmingham, i put the debit card and the parking ticket in there while i'm driving down to the exit

Cool but perhaps more conventional choice! I had a look online at giuliettas but couldn't find any that met my budget and took my fancy, the chrysler badge has really pushed down the second hand price of the delta I reckon it's a proper bargain especially in the 2.0 limited trim for similar age mileage I could have bought a smaller engined focus or Astra trimmed in grey polyester
