Technical Car key cant go in avv

Hi everyone,

Im having a problem with my fiat grande punto 2006, 2 days ago I was driving normally and after I parked and then few minutes later went to start the car again it was not letting me turn the key fully to start the car. The dashboard lights came on but still wasn't starting. At that time I manage to start it on gear, but yesterday morning went to check on the car and see whst could be the issue, it seems now that when I turn the car the key is not going into the acc part of the cylinder and non of the dashboard lights come on. The battery is charged and also tried to connect a booster to it and also tried with jumpers cables also the steering wheel is not lock tried multiple times to turn the key while moving the steering wheel. I have a spare key that is also doing the same thing so I doubt it's a key issue



Can anyone help maybe were faced with this issue?

Yes I have another key which is also doing the same thing

try spraying some graphite into the lock

Potentially an issue with the contactor disc on the end of the barrel,

I wore one out years ago,

Wouldn't send power to the starter

Ignition switch can fail both mechanically and electrically.
