Technical Cabin heating issue

Good morning all
I have a issue with the heating on my 2016 Panda 4x4.
If I set the heater to cold A/C the Blower fan blows cold air perfectly wherever you want it, now if I add heat it gives up, you can hear the blower motor as normal but doesn’t blow in to car anywhere.
Any ideas what the issue maybe??

Sounds like it might be an issue with the mixing flap.

The heater assembly has bowden cables and gears to control the various flaps for air mixing and direction. It could be any one of these stuck, damaged or broken. You need to check that things are moving when you operate the control.

Yes I agree. It could be disconnected but I fear a breakage of the inlet flap operating lever or control kno is likely. The control knob would be easiest to fix. Heaters are on all the time and work by allowing or stopping the hot air from entering and blending with the airfolw to raise the temperature. If the flap that allows hot air in is broken and staying shut this may be the cause. You may be able to look under the dash and see if there is movement of anything when the knob is moved. I expect so but am not certain. I would expect this to be under the left side looking forwards.

If you crawl around in the driver side footwell (after removing the trim panel that includes the footrest) you can see the white plastic levers and curious ’half gear wheels’ they move which are the ‘outside’ of the flap system. You should see them move as you turn the controls.

The flap moves through 90 degree arc - so unless the heat control is set to ‘max’ there should still be a percentage of cold air getting through
