Brr, no it's not actually that cold outside... About +12°c

Any ideas what I should look for? I guess there is an external temperature probe/thermometer somewhere that might need cleaning or replacing, any help to find it would be appreciated

It's a 2014 1.2 petrol and has been generally well behaved these last 10 years but she may be sulking because it's her birthday

Temp sensor is in the passenger (for RHD cars) door mirror housed in the little "nipple" in the underside; as stated by @jackwhoo has the mirror taken whack? -20C looks like it is open circuit to me.

If the temp sensor has failed (check it’s not just the connector that has come loose) replacement sensors are available online for less than 10 quid

This video shows you how to dismantle and reassemble the mirror (or a mirror replacement if needed) - it’s for a manual mirror but the procedure should be similar for electric mirrors. And it’s in Italian but you should still be able to follow the process (English subtitles are available if you want - select auto translate from the gear wheel icon)

Once you have access to the sensor wiring connector you can then test it is firmly in place (having also first checked the fuse!?) and if that doesn’t work then the video shows you how to dismantle the mirror to access +remove the nipple from its housing. Then, unclipping the nipple wiring connector, and replacing same with a new one should be straightforward (ensure whatever seal is in place for the nipple remains - to prevent water ingress)
