As my wife only allows me to have one old Fiat at the time I had to make an difficult decission last week.... I had to sell my swedish import Panda, the Swede:cry: A month ago I came across a 1975 Fiat 126 series 1, which is Italian made and not Polish made. I could not ressist myself and went to Sweden again and bought the little beast:) But then I suddenly had one old Fiat too many according to my wife...:( So I advertised the Swede and within 48 hours it was sold and collected by the new owner:eek: Luckily the new owner is a fellow Fiat enthusiast and this is his Panda number 6:worship: He said the Swede was in such an good condition that he is thinking about using it for a trip to Italy next month(y) If he can get it through inspection and pay import taxes on it before he leaves for the boot country:) But I will for sure miss the little Panda:cry:

Here the Panda leaves for its new home across the Oslofjord

And here is my new "Swede", which is already through norwegian inspection / import controll and is now waiting for its norwegian licence plates. I hopefully will get those next week and I will be driving it to Germany in late July for a big 500 / 126 meeting there:

I will still drop inn on this section from time to time tough, as it is most definatly the most friendly section on FF.

Wow, italian 126(y) Seems he's in a perfect condition.
But, don't you think about trip to Poland for parts?;)

I have wanted a 126 for a while, but I was waiting for the right one! That means an italian made 126 and when I found it, it was at a bargain price also:p I wanted an italian one because they are much rarer than the polish made 126p`s. The ultimate one would be a austrian made one:D But for now I am quite happy with this italian one! I just love the sunroof on it and it drives like a dream. 126 is very rare in Norway as only 18 was ever sold here in the mid 70th`s. This is a swedish one, but I had it on import control / MOT at the national vehicle safety agency on tuesday and it went straight through:worship: Just waiting for the last paperwork from the agency now, and hopefully it will get norwegian plates late next week(y)

Parts are very easy to get from various german online shops, and the parts are CHEAP!!! I mean really cheap!! A new fender is like 18euros and a new gastank is 25Euros:) It is almost fun to use money on it with those prices:)

we have both and i must say after driving the 126 the other day they are fun little cars. Our one has no syncromesh in first gear and the clutch feels shorter than than the panda (if you know what i mean it's the only way i can describe the difference) and the stearing was very light! Pedals are a lot closer together than the panda too! i'm glad that we have the option of having both I wouldn't be able to make that decision.

Have loads of fun :D:D:D

Mine is also without synchronized 1st gear:) If you look away from the very narrow pedals it is very nice to drive, and actually feels quite nippy concidering it has only got 23horses:D Before the German trip I have to change the fan on it as the one on the car has got a bad vibration and hits the conveyour around it on certain rpm`s:( Have ordered new fan from Germany(y)

we should consider strapping the wives to the trailers... :D
I reckon I've got room for two more Pandas... strangely she doesn't think we've got room for the three I already got. Where's the logic in that?
she has to have her Corsa serviced at the garage... :p
good luck with the 126 btw (y)

hay now now
speak for your own misses lol

I'm worse than my OH i want 2 more pandas and a classic 500 and a classic multipla (600 i think they were back in the day) i'm the one that gets told we've no room funds or time lol :D

If you'll buy classic Multipla, you'll have to check the weather report before every journey, to avoid headwind:D

what is it about us panda owners and 126,s my first 4x4 panda was ment to be a replacement for my 126 de-ville which was too small for a growing family but it never got sold I still have it 20 years later infact I have owned 39 126's since! they are so much fun and make the panda feel like a rolls royce. my 126 is an air cooled model we now have a section on here just for 126's check it out in the model list.

Sorry to hear the Pandas gone before you were able to use it wreckmaster, but the 126 replacement does look very nice (y).
I'll give it a maximum of three years before you're on here telling us that you've got another Panda as well as keeping the 126 ;).
