I have a question about this charger. After measuring the voltage when connected to the mains, it is charging at 14,8 volts. That is too high for AGM batteries. I want to disable charging from the original charger, and put in an other one. Does anyone know how to do this? I could just cut the mains wire, of course, but if there are another way I would like to know.

Hello,

Most (like 99,9%) of the chargers and AD/DC inverters were prepared to work with classic lead-acid batteries :( anything non standard on one end requires modification of other parts of the setup.

For my LTO setup I needed to order a special inverter :) Luckily the batteries came with a dedicated charger.

Yeah, just what I concluded. I have a new setup planned, with a dedicated charger and solarpanels. This gives me 200AH of power, with 180W solarpower on the roof. I disconnected the mains (220VAC) from the Toptron CH13, to stop the charging from it. Just one little thing that puzzles me... Why is there two wires from the original system in the car, going to the positive connector on the battery?
