Technical Broken transponder

I managed to break the transponder in my '01 Punto key and it won't start. What are my options for replacement?

I would imagine clone a new transponder from the other key.

There is a few ways around it,

1. tow car too a locksmith,programe new chip too car, or ask for mobile call out
(expensives!)
2. buy ecu/ignition barrel Bcu as kit etc off ebay.
3. send ecu away..to a company. (imo off) insurer wont like this option mind.

How I broke it: The blade was broken on my original key so I got a replacement key cut from carkeyhelp.co.uk and I was trying to cut the transponder away from the original and put in the new, but I broke it in the process.

iirc you wouid need to swap bcu over too,

make sure donor vehicle is same spec as yours,

Your mileage might end up higher/lower too, MES & laptop to sort that ithink,
